UO's Alamo Bowl festivities underway in San Antonio
When the Ducks go to a bowl, they do a lot more than play a football game.
Below and in the gallery at right check out scenes from pre-Alamo Bowl activities in San Antonio.
The UO started the weekend off with a reception for prospective and current students and their families.
Moments after the reception, Duck fans and those of their Longhorn opponents celebrated together at the Original Rudy’s Bar-B-Q Pep Rally.
And finally, on the day before the game, students, university and student leaders, alumni and fans of each school collaborated on a service project at the San Antonio Food Bank.
Together, Duck and Longhorn volunteers packed more than 15,000 pounds of food.
