High school and home town: Lake Oswego High School. Lake Oswego, Ore.

My academic interests include: Journalism, photography.

What I like to do for fun: Take photos, hike, swim, spend time with family and friends

People might be surprised to know: I am an aunt to Dylan, my niece, and another niece or nephew is on the way!

I chose Oregon because: They have an amazing journalism program, it is close enough to home — but still far enough away, it is a beautiful campus, and it felt right when I visited.

My favorite band is: The Lumineers

Scholarships I've received include: Lake Oswego Women's Club Scholarship, Summit Scholarship, Mary Corrigan and Richard Solari Scholarship

When I think of Oregon, I think of: Home.

The thing about college I'm most looking forward to is: Meeting new people.

The one personal item I must bring to college is: My stuffed animal, "Old Dog."
