UO freshman profile: Conner Richardson
High school and hometown: Cottage Grove High School, Cottage Grove, Ore.
What I like to do for fun: Play the piano and flute, run, and play my Nintendo 64.
People might be surprised to know: I can blow air through one of my eye sockets if I plug my nose.
I chose Oregon because: I've lived here in Oregon for a decade and the beauty of this state has really grown on me so, I'm not interested in leaving it anytime soon. I've visited the U of O many times while growing up and I guess you could say when I first stepped on campus it was love at first sight.
My favorite band is: 'N Sync

Scholarships I've received include: The Diversity Excellence Scholarship, the James and Alice Wither/Homer & Alsea Hawley Scholarship, the Michelle Portman Scholarship, and the Permanent Fund Scholarship.
When I think of Oregon, I think of: Hippies/Hipsters, Voodoo Doughnuts, and the very crazy weather.
The thing about college I'm most looking forward to is: Not having to cook my own meals and clean up after myself when I eat dorm food!
The one personal item I must bring to college is: My lava lamp.
