NAME: Brooklyn Snow

HOMETOWN: Beaverton, OR

MAJOR:  Music<--break->

CAREER INTERESTS: To sing classically and perform in opera houses around the world.

THE FACULTY MEMBER WHO MADE THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IN MY TIME AT THE UO IS: All of them, but my voice teacher and life coach Milagro Vargas, has been my biggest influence.

WHAT I DO FOR FUN: Cycle, yoga, go to concerts and sing!

WHAT I’VE LEARNED: I've learned to take every challenge as an opportunity to grow and to take risks along the way. My development as a classical singer has inspired me to share the gift of song to those who enjoy classical music.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT OREGON: The lush greenery and beautiful trees. The campus atmosphere is extremely welcoming and down to earth and I couldn't imagine going to school anywhere else.

VIDEOS: The UO Chamber Choir sings in this video prepared for the Fleischmann International Trophy Competition in Ireland, which they won. Snow sings Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
