Oregon headed to NCAA finals
UPDATED: The Oregon volleyball team continued a season for the ages Thursday night, knocking off Penn State and heading to the NCAA finals to take on Texas on Saturday at 4 p.m. Check back for details.

The fifth-seeded Ducks defeated Brigham Young University and the University of Nebraska last weekend to advance to the semifinals in Louisville.
Oregon (29-4) will play top-seeded Penn State (33-2) at 6 p.m. Thursday. The winner of that match plays in the finals at 4 p.m. Saturday against the winner of the Texas-Michigan match. All three matches will be televised live by ESPN2 and ESPN3.com.
A free watch party is planned at Matthew Knight Arena on Thursday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Parking will be free in the MKA garage. The match will be shown on the arena scoreboards.
Oregon defeated Penn State last time the teams met in the 2011 season opener. But the Nittany Lions are perennial NCAA power, having won five NCAA titles (1999, 2007-10) in nine Final Four appearances.
Senior Alaina Bergsma was named the NCAA Reginal Player of the Tournamnent after the two matches in Omaha. Lauren Plum and Ariana Williams were named to the seven-player all-tournament squad in a vote by the media.
Oregon's four-set win over fourth-seeded Nebraska was the first in three meetings against the Cornhuskers.
The Ducks' 29 wins (so far) is a school record.
