The University of Oregon is celebrating Black History Month in February with a variety of events, including lectures, films, music, and art. For a complete listing of events, visit the Office of the Dean of Students. Events of note: 

Tuesday, Feb. 11: "Race & Football: Humanities Context for Contemporary Understanding," 7 p.m., John E. Jaqua Center for Student Athletes.

Tuesday, Feb. 18: "African-American Male Psychology: Challenges and Conflicts in the Journey of Living," featuring Joseph White, Ph.D. 6 p.m., Knight Library Browsing Room.

Starting Monday, Feb. 10: Black History Month Photo Display. Knight Library lobby.

Through April 6: "Emancipating the Past: Kara Walker's Tales of Slavery and Power. Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.
