Fallen service men and women remembered in roll call
November 12, 2012
Jim Kosbiel reads the names of U.S. service men and women who died in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, part of the Remembrance Day National Roll Call.
Kosbiel and other veterans read more than 6,600 names during the day-long event in the EMU Amphitheater on Monday.
Kosbiel retired from military service in August after serving 15 years in the Navy and seven years in the Army.
He enrolled at the UO in September, and is studying educational foundations.
“It’s a pleasure and an honor,” he said. “These are my brothers who fell.”
