The event is Saturday, Jan. 22, beginning at 10 a.m. on campus.

The theme of the parade is, “Celebrating Champions – Honoring Excellence on the Field, in the Classroom, and in the Community.” The parade will feature around 25 entries from the UO and another 20 or so from the community.

The one-mile route will begin at 13th Avenue and Kincaid Street, travel down Kincaid to 11th Avenue, and then on 11th to Oak Street, where it will end at the Park Blocks in downtown Eugene with an event featuring live entertainment and short speeches.  The community is encouraged to line the route as spectators and attend the event that will begin at the conclusion of the parade.

Among many others, the event will feature the Duck football team, the UO's national championship debate team, its award-winning gospel choir, a capella group On the Rocks, endowed professors, distinguished alumni, and champions from the UO facilities staff.
