Ducks, Badgers team to help Los Angeles food bank

Students and administrators from the University of Oregon and University of Wisconsin set aside their differences on New Year's Day to volunteer at a Los Angeles food bank.

Approximately 100 volunteers with allegiance to the two universities volunteered at SOVA Community Food and Resource Program, operated by Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles. SOVA is dedicated to alleviating hunger and poverty in the Los Angeles area. The volunteers sorted and packed food to be ready for distribution to the organizationʹs clients.

The Oregon cheerleaders and Oregon Marching Band showed up for the morning event to get the volunteers fired up for the service project, which took place one day before Oregon meets Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl.
