Duck fans rock pep rally at the Santa Monica Pier
Nearly 10,000 Oregon Duck fans flocked to the Santa Monica Pier for a New Year's Day pep rally on the eve of the Rose Bowl tilt against Wisconsin.

ESPN sportscaster Neil Everett and pro golfer Peter Jacobsen — both Oregon alums — emceed the event, which took place under clear blue skies with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop.
The Oregon Marching Band, the Oregon Cheer Squad, the Oregon Duck mascot, and other Oregon favorites, including former quarterback Joey Harrington and four-year-old Braden Papé singing the Oregon fight song, entertained the revelers. Congressman Peter DeFazio also spoke to the crowd and demonstrated his musical talents on "duck lips."
No. 5 Oregon takes on No. 10 Wisconsin at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rose Bowl.
