Countdown to the Fiesta Bowl

Follow us to the Fiesta Bowl. We'll be posting regular updates, video clips and photos on our home page, on Celebrating Champions and on social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Fans are encouraged to use and follow the hashtags #UOFiesta, #GoDucks and #UOregon.

We'll have up-to-the-minute updates of pre-game activities, including a Duck service project, a reception for prospective students and of course, the pep rally. On Game Day, we'll show scenes from the tailgate and from inside University of Phoenix Stadium.

Here's what you need to know about the game, which pits No. 5 Oregon (11-1, 8-1 in the Pac-12) against No. 7 Kansas State (11-1, 8-1 in the Big 12) in their first-ever meeting. (Here's a head-to-head comparison.)

Oregon is just the fourth program to play in four or more consecutive BCS bowl games, joining USC (2003-09), Ohio State (2006-11) and Miami (2001-04). The Ducks are 2-2 in BCS bowls, including a 38-16 win over Colorado in their only previous Fiesta Bowl appearance.
