PHOENIX — The Oregon Ducks and Kansas State Wildcats joined forces for a service project at the nation's first food bank hours before facing off in the Fiesta Bowl in what's become a pre-game tradition for the UO.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Thousands of Duck fans from all over the country and world rallied to support their beloved university just one day before its football team takes on Kansas State University in the Fiesta Bowl.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — On the eve of the Fiesta Bowl, around 200 mostly Arizona high school students and their families learned about what it means to truly be a Duck from UO deans and other top administrators.

Katherine Fischer and Alaina Bergsma are both senior outside hitters for Oregon's volleyball team and key players in the Ducks' brilliant run through the NCAA Tournament.They're also champions in the classroom. Both were named Academic All-Americans Thursday — Fischer to the first team, Bergsma to the third team.

The Ducks lost a tough one against Stanford Saturday night at Autzen, but Duck fans got to enjoy being the center of the college football universe.
